Olivia and Alistair’s wedding day back in March 2024 is one I’ll always remember. The weather definitely kept us on our toes - classic early spring, with a bit of wind and rain - but honestly, it didn’t take anything away from the day. If anything, it added to the atmosphere and made everything feel even more real and full of character.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear just how lovely these two are. Olivia and Alistair are genuinely some of the kindest people and that energy carried through every part of the day. There was such a relaxed, happy feel - no stress, just excitement and a lot of love from everyone around them.
I absolutely love photographing at this venue as well - Bredenbury Court Barns. While we would’ve loved to get out and make the most of the grounds, the weather had other plans, but it honestly didn’t matter. The indoor spaces are just as beautiful, with so much natural light and so many different backdrops to work with. Those large windows created the most gorgeous, soft light and gave us the perfect setting for some really intimate, relaxed portraits.
Even with the rain, we made the most of every moment. One of my favourite parts of the day was embracing the conditions and getting creative—using those window-lit spaces and capturing natural, genuine moments between them. The way they looked at each other, completely in their own little world, made for some of my favourite images.
And when the rain tried to interrupt things, we didn’t let it. We even ended up having a bit of a dance party with the bridal party, which turned into such a fun, spontaneous moment. Everyone was laughing, letting loose, and it made for some of the most joyful, energetic photos of the day.
As a wedding photographer, these are the kinds of weddings I love most—not because everything goes perfectly to plan, but because of how people embrace whatever the day brings. Olivia and Alistair did exactly that, and it made their wedding so special to be a part of.
From emotional, quiet moments to a packed dance floor in the evening, their whole day was just a joy to capture. I feel so lucky to have been there to document it all, and it’s definitely a wedding I won’t forget anytime soon.
