Lucy and Zac’s wedding at Netley Hall was such a fantastic day to photograph. From start to finish, the atmosphere was relaxed, joyful, and full of excitement as everyone gathered to celebrate the couple.
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how Lucy and Zac were completely open to trying something a little different with their photography. They had a vision for a more timeless, editorial style, inspired by classic Vogue-style flash photography, and it worked beautifully with the elegance of the venue.
A Stunning Setting at Netley Hall
Netley Hall is a stunning venue and provides such a beautiful backdrop for weddings. The elegant interiors, grand staircase, and surrounding grounds create endless opportunities for photographs throughout the day.
The venue worked perfectly with the style Lucy and Zac were looking for. The dramatic staircase, sparkling chandeliers and luxurious interiors allowed us to create some really striking portraits that felt both modern and timeless.
A Vogue-Inspired Photography Style
Lucy and Zac wanted something a little different from traditional wedding photography. They were drawn to a more editorial, fashion-inspired approach, using flash to create that bold, timeless look you often see in magazines.
This style adds a really unique feel to wedding portraits and creates images that stand out while still capturing the emotion of the day.
As a photographer, I always love when couples trust me to experiment creatively. Trying new ideas and approaches keeps the work exciting and allows me to capture something truly personal for each couple. With Lucy and Zac, everything just came together perfectly.
Moments Throughout the Day
The day itself was full of wonderful moments. From relaxed portraits to stylish indoor shots, there were so many opportunities to capture the couple together in a way that felt natural but also elevated with the editorial style they loved.
Lucy looked incredible in her dress and the way it moved during the outdoor portraits created such beautiful images. Zac looked equally sharp and together they made such a great pair in front of the camera.
The grand staircase inside Netley Hall was also a standout location. With the chandelier above and the elegant architecture around them, it created a really cinematic moment that suited their timeless aesthetic perfectly.
A Day Full of Celebration
More than anything, Lucy and Zac’s wedding was simply a wonderful day celebrating their relationship with the people closest to them. The energy throughout the day was amazing, and it was such a pleasure to be there capturing those moments.
Weddings like this are always a reminder of why I love what I do. Every couple brings their own personality and ideas to the day, and being able to adapt creatively and capture something unique for them is always the goal.
